Five books you need to read while you soak

We love to celebrate the great things women do here at Soak Society and luckily enough, reading and soaking go hand in hand, so we’ve come up with our top five best books from inspirational woman to read as you soak! Although it's great to just relax and unwind, sometimes picking up a good read and finding inspo is just as good.

“Read, read, read. Read everything – trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You’ll absorb it.” – William Faulkner

1.     #GIRLBOSS – SOPHIA AMORUSO

"I have three pieces of advice I want you to remember: Don’t ever grow up. Don’t become a bore. Don’t let The Man get to you. OK? Cool. Then let’s do this.” - Sophia Amoruso, #GirlBoss

Amoruso’s journey to success is the basis of this book in which she shares her experiences and hard work that led her to become founder and CEO of Nasty Gal (a now 100-million dollar company!). It's relatable and a must read if you love to be inspired, laugh a little and enjoy hearing about great people doing great things. Jump in a bath and read this book- you’re sure to feel like a #GirlBoss in no time!

2. LEAN IN - SHERYL SANDBERG

Ranked as one of the top 100 most influential people in the world, Sandberg’s Lean In, discusses the important and deeper topics that the hard working woman faces. She discusses the techniques that has helped her become who she is and how men and woman can co-exist.

3. NOT THAT KIND OF GIRL – LENA DUNHAM

Not That Kind of Girl is a memoir about the different issues that life throws at us. This is definitely one of my favourite books as the relatable problems and real issues Dunham expresses are raw and realatable. The great thing about this book it that you can pick it up and start anywhere as Dunham has written essays on different topics. She also has a great website where Jenni Konner and her talk about all things to do with feminism, politics and friendships! Team this with the Rose Wellness Soak and you’ll be onto a winner!

4. THRIVE – ARIANNA HUFFINGTON

Huffington discusses redefining success, how a high salary doesn’t mean that everything in your life will be perfect and that wisdom, wellbeing and happiness is key to being successful all round. If you’re in the mood for authenticity and real talk, pick up this book and you won't be let down next bath time.

5. SPARE CHANGE - IONA BAIN

In todays society it is hard to find good advice on finances, saving money, and the balance between socializing and being on a budget. Spare Change, gives woman helpful advice that is hard to find that will help you be independent and not let money hold you back!
