Three feminists we are loving right now
Feminism - we all know what it means and stands for, and we all have an opinion about who is one and who isn't one. At Soak Society we are all for feminism and love the great work people are doing. Equal rights. It's that simple yet people get caught up in nitty gritty stuff and it all gets complicated. As Cheris Kramarae says, “Feminism is the radical notion that women are human beings.” There are so many wonderful feminists out there and it would be a never ending list if we could babble on about all the things being accomplish! Here's three to pique your interest.
1. Ellen Page
Ellen's strong stance on feminism and gender equality is far from shy. She isn't afraid to voice her opinion about woman rights and her involvement with the LGBTQI community is outstanding. If you've been living under a rock, Ellen and her bestie Ian Daniel travel to different countries for their show Gaycation to see how different people treat this community. She's an inspiration and go getter and that's what we love to see!
2. Lena Dunham
People either love her or hate her, but you can't deny the great things she's been doing within the feminist world. From her book Not That Kind of Girl, to her TV series Girls she's breaking female stereotypes and kicking ass at the same time.
"Do you believe that women should be paid the same for doing the same jobs? Do you believe that women should be able to leave the house? Do you think that men and women deserve the same equal rights? Great, then you're a feminist" - Lena Dunham
3. Mark Ruffalo
Mark is a an avid believer in the rights and equality for everyone. Recently he walked in the woman's march in NY and has been consistently supporting different issues such as the Dakota access pipeline.

He is set on his beliefs and the rights for everyone and isn't backing down!
