5 minutes with Teigan from Wolff and Bone Bridal

Teigan Lindley, a 24 year old entrepreneur with a passion for everything bridal, has just returned from London and opened up a new shop in Mooloolaba for her collection - Wolff and Bone Bridal.

Wolff and Bone is "boho luxe with an edge", offering couture and made to measure formal wear.

We got 5 minutes with Teigan to ask her a few questions, check it out:

Did you always know you’d be an entrepreneur?

In a way I knew I would be running a business but definitely not to the extent and success it has gained in such a short time frame and I definitely didn't know it would be in bridal.

Growing up I never had the desire to work for someone else. I knew I would never be satisfied by the lack of responsibility and decision making that you get from working a 9-5 job. I wanted a passion and something that I didn't have to leave at the desk at 5pm. I love the satisfaction you get from working ridiculous hours knowing you're making someone's day super special!

I get to experience the ups and downs the brides go through! I love that about making wedding dresses! It's so much more than a gown you wear for one day... it's pure magic that has been formed over months and months of hard work and forming friendships!

How did Wolff and Bone kick off?

W&B started from a reference to do a formal dress from my design teacher at Tafe. That grew into a few formal dresses the following year and two couture wedding dresses whilst I was creating my own collection for my Tafe graduation! I was super busy but loved every bit of it! I did all the fittings in our spare room at home! I graduated in November 2016 and by December 2016 we had signed on our first stockiest:  L/A Bespoke - named top 5 in the cool bride category for retailers!

What is it like to be a young entrepreneurial woman? Any challenges? Benefits?

I love that I get to work with something I have a passion for at such a young age.

Challenges would be the sacrifices you make -  being a 24 year old everyone still wants to go out on the weekend but you have a massive wedding dress to make! Haha! Though, that's pretty cool so I don't hate on it.

Owning your company at such a young age must be stressful, how do you schedule in me-time?

It is definitely hard! When you're working late nights and early mornings it can definitely fall to the bottom of the priority list! But I try to take naps when I can, to rejuvenate my energy. I am also a sucker for a good movie, a comfy couch and some ice cream!

What do you hope to see next for Wolff and Bone?

I hope to have an 'Instagram famous' dress, 5 stockists by the start of next year, and brides continuing to say their "I do's" in my gowns!

You can catch Teigan at her shop Wolff and Bone Bridal located at Shop 2/106 Brisbane rd, Mooloolaba 4557.
