If there was one piece of advice I could give my 16 year old self, it would be this: Really look after yourself. You need to work hard to achieve your dreams, but while you're busy being a #girlboss 24/7 it's easy to lose track of what's important - your emotional health.
I know what serious stress and anxiety looks like (as I'm sure we all do), and I wish I'd known sooner how to deal with it. I spent too long thinking I had to do all the things, all the time. Women can generally be 'givers', which is not a bad thing, but you need to know where to draw the line sometimes.
Who is looking after you? The answer is that YOU are the only one responsible for your health. Stress is the cause of most common illnesses, so we can ultimately prevent them if we pay more attention to what we're giving and how our switched on lifestyle is affecting us. I've found regular soaking to be such an integral part of my self-care toolkit.
As well as health for our minds, I'm also deeply passionate about avoiding chemicals in skincare products. By now, we all know the dangers of phthalates, PEG's, SLS and perfumes, which is one of the reasons I was so inspired to create a range of baths soaks that just went back to basics. Salts and clays from earth with only essential oils as fragrance.
I'm all about balance, not about being so strict that life isn't fun anymore. I hope I can inspire you to soak more, and carve out more me-time in your week.
